What we do
We set up Freddie's Friends in 2008 in memory of our lovely son. In the years since, with the help of our wonderful fundraisers, donors and sponsors, Freddie's have been able to provide specialist equipment, support and respite for disabled children and their families.
What we did:
With your help we have been able to help the special children & organisations below.
Andrei is a gorgeous 3 year old boy with many problems including, Cerebral Palsy,
development delays and his registered blind.
He was awarded a specialist Snappi pushchair and we at Freddies were delighted to fund the much needed sun canopy and rain cover accessories.
Shafi is a lovely little boy with Global Development Delays and severe speech and language difficulties.
We have part funded a Barnardo's sensory processing assessment to help his family and nursery school understand his needs and improve his development. xx
Charlie is a lovely boy with many illnesses including Hemihypertrophy and progressive infantile scoliosis.
We have funded Sensory Integration Therapy through Connect Services,
the assessment will aim to explore what support Charlie will need to aid his development. xx
Jake is a gorgeous boy with physical development delay,
learning difficulties and hyper mobility.
Jake's mum is trying to put a sensory room together for him and we have funded various sensory items.
Enjoy Jake xx
Reggie is a 4 year old boy with Brittle Bone Disease.
We have funded a specialist bed guard to keep Reggie safe in his bed. As Reggie is limited in his physical activities we also funded a Special needs tablet to keep him entertained.
Rose has development delays and complex sensory needs.
We have funded a Sensory Assessment through Connect Services with the aim to explore her sensory processing needs.
Noah is a lovely four year old boy with Cerebral Palsy and Periventricular Leukomalacia.
We have funded a sunshade and rain cover for his Maclaren specialist buggy, also a dark den and moonlight cushion for a safe place for Noah when he becomes distressed.
Calcifer is a young boy who has a brain injury, visual impairment, global development delay and learning disability.
Calcifer loves throwing himself around and his mum wanted to set up a small soft play area in the front room.
With your continue support we funded various soft play/padded equipment to keep him safe, enjoy Calcifer x
Tino has Down Syndrome and Hirschsprungs Disease.
We have made a financial contribution towards a Barnardos Sensory Integration Therapy to help Tino with his language, motor and sensory development x
